Dr Kumar qualified from Liverpool University in 2008 with distinction in restorative dentistry and completed his vocational training in North Wales. He then went on to take a position as Senior House Officer in the restorative department at Leeds where he completed his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery. Since then, Dr Kumar has been working in general practice in the Cheshire area and had been at Alderley Edge and Cheadle for the last 10 years.
Dr Kumar prides himself on being up to date with the latest developments in dentistry. He is a certified Invisalign Go practitioner and can also provide tooth-coloured fixed braces for tooth straightening. He has also completed a 12-month postgraduate course in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in London, giving him the skills to offer his patients the most up-to-date evidence based aesthetic options including tooth restoration, tooth replacements, whitening and composite bonding. Dr Kumar has also completed further training in techniques for more complex root canal treatments.
He understands and particularly enjoys helping patients who are anxious regards dental treatment and trying to make them more comfortable with the environment. In his spare time, of which there is little with his two young children, Dr Kumar is an avid sportsman and enjoys playing and following football and cricket. He looks forward to meeting you at the practice.
